Inspector Bidhan Chandra Bhattacharjee, now posted as Inspector-In-Charge of Nayagram Police Station since 31/01/2016. He joined in Police Department in the year 1990. Lastly he was posted at Kharagpur GRP as IRP.

Achievements

In the year 2001 when he was posted in Mahishadal PS as OC, under Purba Medinipur District at that time one incident of dacoits with murder took place in Dewanbari at village Rambagh. He was successfully detected that case, arrested all the criminals who were directly involved in this case and recovered entire robbed articles like gold ornaments silver and copper and brush etc utensils. The case was ended with charge sheet U/S 396/412 IPC. In the year 1996 a case of cheating and miss personation was reported at Kolaghat PS where a gang of cheater who are the inhabitant of Bhagabanpur, Khejuri, Potashpur etc got marriage with a lady at village Deulia under Kolaghat PS by means of miss personation like bridge groom, father-in law, sister-in law, brother-in law and bridge groom party too but after getting marriage the gang fled away keeping the at fathers room causing miss appropriation of the entire dowry articles like cash, gold ornaments utensils etc. He was successfully detected the gang and arrested all the accused and recovered the entered miss appropriated property. In the year 2005 when he was OC Garhbeta under Paschim Medinipur District, he was detected several cases of dacoits and arrested the criminals from Punisole of Onda PS, Bankura Uttarbil, Fulbari, Kharkusma of Garhbeta PS recovered fire arms from their possession. In the year 1997 when he was in Sankrail PS as OC at that time the entire PS area was severely affected with political rowdy between CPI(M) with Jharkhand at that time a successfully brought the area under control of police and abide to exist administrative dominants. In the year 1999 when he was OC Gopiballavpur PS one incident of murder of three prominent CPI (M) leader occurred the case was detected under his direct super vision and eleven accused persons have been convicted in this case. In the year 2010 when he was first time posted at Nayagram PS as IC at that time the entire area was burning with LWE acuity, he was successfully arrested the sympathizer and the movement of the Maoist. In the year 2013 when he was in Kharagpur GRP, he recovered and seized more than One Lakh of FICN from the possession of one accused who is the inhabitant of Hariharpara Murshidabad, the accused has been convicted in this case.
